Like many trusts, Alder Hey required solutions to help ease financial pressures, without requiring too much Trust resource. Having not worked with Liaison Financial before, they hoped that their savings solutions could make an impact.
Liaison Financial’s VATplus re-review, supplier statement reconciliation and duplicate payments reviews delivered a risk-free solution, which both provided support to Alder Hey’s Finance teams and benefitted the bottom line.
The VATplus review identified £497,000 in the past 2 years – £117k in 2023/24 and £380k in 24/25 – showing how useful it can be to continue the VATplus process.
The Statements & Duplicates review continues, and has to date found savings of more than £54,000; providing a much-needed opportunity to add a total of £551,000, so far, to their CIP plan.
