Tackling Sport in Tanzania

20 August 2018

Our CEO and Liaison Amani Charity Trustee Andrew Armitage, travelled almost 7,000 miles to visit Tanzania last week to meet the vulnerable street children we’re supporting with your help.

As the 2018 World Cup ended we asked colleagues and customers to take part in a football shirt amnesty. Your generosity resulted in Andrew taking more than 60 full kits with him to share with the children – and very little room in his luggage for his travel wardrobe!

In addition, Andrew also took tag rugby kits to introduce a new sport to the children at the centres across Tanzania. He comments: “A massive thank you to everyone who donated, the look on the kids’ faces was priceless – it really was special.”
